i think he is the second singer i know whose name i can write with no trouble at all. the other one being 王力宏 of course.
he caught my attention through "Love Song". i came across this song on tv one fine day, but i can't remember whether it was TVB8 or channel [V]. i was immediately hooked. i wanted more. i bought his lastest album (wonderland 未來) on a whim because of that one song. i didn't even check out his other songs that were posted on youtube! it has been so so long since i've felt this way towards a singer through just one song. i played that album over and over and over again.
now that i've got my hands on his previous album (this love 愛愛愛), it is currently my only source of music. nevermind that i chose ken hirai's cd to be played in the car the other day. i cannot get enough of him! seem like all the CD shops i went into do not have his first album (soulboy). nvm. i shall continue on with my search. i don't get the pirated versions of the singers i really really really really like. especially if i like 90% of the songs in their album i owned. like what happened to soler. sorry aska yang. i've made up my mind not to support your albums in the future.
he is not the best looking singer out there but i somehow like his... look. the geeky glasses, the sweater-over-shirt and straight/skinny cut jeans fashion sense (maybe his stylist's but whatevs), his sense of humour. he's hot. lol. sigh. i'm a sucker for someone who can play the piano and guitar AND sing. even if they're just ok-looking. but i rate him above-average. ok. CERTAIN ok-looking guys with musical talent. gary chao, na-ah.
i find that he has a voice that is similar to jj lin's, but i somehow feel irritated by jj's after a few songs. no idea why. but of course, being the biased me, i love khalil's voice. not as much as Lee Hom's lah. and i also think that his smile is somewhat similar to raymond lam's. and again, not as ... erm, arrogant. haha. what a load of BS.
anyway, i can't wait to see him without any glasses on.
