i'm back. after half a month in australia, i'm finally home. have yet to upload the photos. feeling a bit lazy right now. wait lah ok?
since i was leaving melbourne for good this time, i had to bring everything back. i didn't get to really bring everything single thing but it was enough. elaine had to sit on my luggage so that i could close it. and it was not filled with my clothes. my clothes were in another hand-carry bag, which weighed 8+kg. wow. AND i had 3kg worth of lollies and chocs in my backpack. plus i had another paper bag with a big pillow and a er.. kite in it.
i already knew i'm way overweight and was prepared to pay for it. but the lady was kind enough to allow me the extra 5 kg for my check-in luggage. she thought i wanted to check in my hand-carry as well and was telling me that i need to pay an extra AUD160 for that 8kg but i told her i'm carrying it to the airplane. she looked at my other stuff and said that i could try, but they'll probably stop me at the departure gate.
and for the first time in my life, after so many departures from melbourne, this !@#$%^ (asian somemore, diu mou...) really DID stopped me to weigh my hand-carry and my back pack. KNN... it came up to 14+ and he said i had to check in one bag. i told him i've been travelling like this ALL THE TIME but he said "not today. you've been lucky in the past but you have to go to your airline and check-in one bag". i so wanted to shout at him and tell him to eat his own shit. if you saw his face, you would too. and so i dragged it all back to the counter and told the lady i need to check-in my hand-carry. she did it, AND DID NOT CHARGE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what the... WOO HOO! i'm left with just my 5kg backpack and my paperbag. and when i went in to the departure hall again, that frog was not there anymore. a blessing in disguise...? but i'm not gonna thank him anyway. i'll thank helen.
i watched 2 movies (enchanted and national treasure 2) and 3 episodes of ugly betty on the plane. the food was okay and the service was great. ok, not GREAT great but good enough. the man was quite friendly. and ooh i bought a bottle of perfume (roses by paul smith) and a bottle of malibu. lpx, if yours ran out, i have one here!
ok, back to job hunting.
